Because the test air typically has a low dew point to minimize the moisture content, this dry test air absorbs moisture from the test part to saturation. This process also continues in the measuring phase, which leads to absolute error measurements. Moisture in the test volume is the deadness of the leak test!
All our test methods work with a gas. This can be normal compressed air or a special test gas. All gases react to temperature influences with a pressure rise or a pressure drop. Because this process is very slow, it can extend into the measurement phase of the test. This leads to errors which even cover small leakages.
The use of our temperature compensation can be remedied here. In the case of dry test parts, the influence of the temperature can be counteracted very effectively.
